S O U N D

  Aum OM  ......ओंकार oṃkāra

In the Vedanta Sanskrit studies of Hinduism, the OM syllable is considered a Mantra in Itself.

Mantra मन्त्र. A sacred sound or syllable or group of words of spiritual power. The spiritual value of mantras arises when it is present in sound vibration site or meditation.

Mantra forms, include verses from Rigveda and the melodic athematica lease structured restaurant meant sounds musical chants from the Sāmaveda, known as Sāman.

“ ‘The chanting of the holy name of Lord Viṣṇu is the best process of atonement'...... Simply by chanting the holy name of Lord Viṣṇu, such sinful persons attract the attention of the Supreme Lord, who then considers, 'Because this man has chanted My holy name, My duty is to give him protection.’ ”

How Humble is God

God is the tree in the forests that
allows itself to die and will not defend itself in front of those
with the ax, not wanting to cause them
shame.

And God is the earth that will allow itself to
be deformed by man's tools, but He cries; yes, God cries,
but only in front of His closest ones.

And a beautiful animal is being beaten to death,
but nothing can make God break His silence
to the masses
and say,

"Stop, please stop, why are you doing this
to Me?"

How humble is God?
Kabir wept
when I
knew.

Jungly's Recipe #1

Hi I'm Radhika, of Jungly Creations.  Besides painting and clothing design I also have a passion for cooking.

Everybody keeps telling me I should do this so for 2014 I decided I would add recipe blogs , with details ingredients photos and sometimes video .  My first recipe of 2014 that I would love to share with everybody is......

Jungly Dal Fry with stirfry mixed vegetables.
Cook two dishes in less than 20 minutes: serve two

I purchase daily all organic ingredients from specialty produce on Hancock Street here in San Diego; however choose fresh ingredients wherever you buy it it's your choice.

1/2. cup Toor dal boiled, scrape the foam.

One small carrot and one tomato puréed together

Half yellow squash chopped Half small Asian Eggplant chopped
1 cup chopped baby spinach
Few sprigs of cilantro
Tablespoon of fresh plain yogurt

Olive oil
Small piece of ginger
Tiny Pinch of asofetedia powder (hing)
1 Teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon rye
1/2 tablespoon cracked black
       peppercorns
1/4 teaspoon haldi(turmeric )
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1/2tablespoon garam masala powder
1/4  teaspoon Salt &  pinch turmeric

Rinse and boil dal with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of Tumeric powder

While that is boiling chop vegetables and  finely dice the ginger

In one pan on med heat Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in nonstick pan...
Add Ginger, 1 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp rye, 1 tsp coriander powder, and hing; Fry together for two minutes.

In another pan on medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of oil, 1/2 tsp rye seeds, 1/4 tsp Black pepper, and 1 tsp coriander powder.

Mix the masala in the oil then add your chopped squash and Stirfry for 5 to 10 minutes.

Back to the first pan with the masala for the dal fry... Add the tomato and carrot purée to the masala and mix well allowing the moisture to evaporate out of the tomatoes completely.  It will appear dry.  This is a good time to add the fully cooked toor dal. Continue to Fry the dal and the Masala together for five minutes, add a little water if you want.

Add the chopped spinach to the vegetable stirfry and cook just until the spinach is wilted.  Don't overcook it!!!

It's done!!  Add salt to taste, ... I always serve it with a spoonful of Mountain High plain yogurt and a few sprigs of fresh cilantro on top.

As another option you can serve it with basmati rice.

Hope you enjoy my first easy recipe I share of 2014!!

Namaste!!

Bon Appétit !!

Love,

Jungly

Lost ... Poem by David Wagner

Lost

Stand still
The trees ahead
And bushes beside you
Are not lost
Wherever you are is called here and you must treat it as a powerful stranger
You must ask permission to know it
And be known
The forest breathes
Listen
It answers
I have made this place around you if you leave it you may come back again saying:  here no two trees are the same to raven; no two branches are the same to wren
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you, You are surely lost

Stand still; the forest knows where you are you must let it find you
